Sandra received her B.S. in Pharmacy from St. John’s University in 2000 and received her training as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in 2012. She is an experienced pharmacist in retail, hospital, home care, long term care and oncology pharmacy. Sandra has served as a clinical pharmacist, compliance officer, pharmacy consultant and has educated countless pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in sterile and non-sterile compounding. She has been an independent pharmacy consultant since 2011, providing accreditation consulting services for Joint Commission, ACHC, URAC Accreditation, and Article 28, Diagnostic and Treatment Center surveys.

Sandra is an entrepreneur at heart, enjoys engaging and educating patients and is the proud owner of Nature’s Remedy Pharmacy. Not only is she passionate about the practice of pharmacy, but she equally passionate about the design of pharmacy and creating an inviting and welcoming pharmacy environment that is focused on the well-being of her employees and customers, as well as providing a positive and unique experience. Nature’s Remedy Pharmacy offers personalized service, both conventional and natural medicine, and a holistic approach to wellness aimed at not just treating illnesses but also preventing them. Along with quickly filling prescriptions and free delivery, the pharmacy also offers natural and organic products, toys and gifts. Sandra loves to procure products that are locally made, fair trade and from woman owned businesses. Through word of mouth by her patients, pulmonologists in the NY area have come to recognize Nature’s Remedy Pharmacy as a specialty pharmacy managing patients with severe pulmonary diseases and as a result has been servicing patients from Westchester to Riverhead. In fact, there has been a growing need to service patients outside of NY state, which has led Nature’s Remedy on a path to obtaining out of state licenses and accreditations to accommodate for the demand (in process).

As a pharmacist, Sandra offers a comprehensive review of all prescription medications, over the counter medications and supplements, as well as nutritional counseling, education on disease prevention and management of chronic illness. She focuses on understanding the interactions of drugs and their side effects and works to help patients balance the side effects and compensate for depletions caused by medications. Her driving force to help people feel better

and live healthier lives motivates her to utilize her experience and training to work closely with physicians and patients utilizing a comprehensive team approach to develop care plans towards optimal wellness.

This is the best pharmacy in NY! Just walking into Nature's Remedy is reassuring experience with its warm and serene ambiance. Ilona, the Pharmacist is caring, extremely competent and she takes the time to answer all questions. She is great at helping clients to get through insurance issues and she effectively responds to any questions about medications. I couldn't be happier to have found her!

Great intimate service by owner Ilona. Once a Pharmacist for B&S Pharmacy in Forest Hills until its closing. She is dedicated to making your trip there a pleasant one. Has a large selection of organic and all natural remedies plus being an old fashion mom and pop drug store. A real gem and hard to do with all large chains taking over and offering everyday products. That being convience to others they brake the mold of a traditional drug store as we remember them. Some customers have followed her from Forest Hills and surrounding areas as I do to get medications and alike. She calls customers when becoming low on their meds talks with dxs if need be, she is a rare find in this competitive industry.
